we work together

our team

The small, close-knit team is directed by owner, Mark Butler. Mark’s background as a Craftsman in cabinetry provides him with a true understanding of how a kitchen works and how the elements come together. Giving him an edge and the ability to present customers with a fluid and functional design.

We are a team

When this expertise is combined with the elegance and high quality of Butler Interiors chosen products; Schüller C and next125, a workspace that is stunning in both function and form is created.

It is important that none of our employees have sales targets: only working in the best interest of the client. When specialist trades are required, we arrange for reliable and trustworthy people, many of whom are local, and all of whom we use repeatedly.

To work closely with the client to create their dream kitchen – to present them with inspired designs and ultimately provide them with a perfect heart to their home is a truly rewarding process.

Mark Butler
- Director

Name: Mark Butler

Job Description: Director / Owner of Butler Interiors.

Kitchen must have: The Quooker Cube. With the new CUBE, you can now also dispense sparkling and chilled water from the Quooker tap. As well as the hot, cold and boiling water facilities.

Hobbies:

My hobbies are spending time with my children & family. I believe I am a family man in its true form, I really enjoy walking Rosie (my dog), whether that would be locally or in the Lakes and Dales.

My all-time hobby has to be motorcycling whether that is riding in local club trials, riding enduro’s or greenlining, riding my road bike or my annual trip to the IOM TT races (which of course then leads to nights away in the van wild camping on a beach somewhere). My happy days!

Stephen Getka
- Designer

Name: Stephen Getka

Job Description: Designer

Kitchen Must have: My favourite must-have in the kitchen is the Wave 2176 extractor similar to the one over the cooks’ table at KL. It’s stylish, quiet and very efficient, especially with a plasma filter. It is also available as just a light.

Hobbies: My hobby, when I was younger, was archery. I competed in world championships as well as UK competitions and I won a gold medal at an archery competition in Las Vegas. I hold a world record for shooting a maximum score in a competition…although others have also done that so perhaps not such an amazing feat!

Nowadays I like to relax and read. I enjoy food, especially when it’s made for me. I bumble through computer programming and enjoy most creative past-times. I am an average painter (paintings not houses!) although less now that I used to do.

Amy Skidmore
- Office Manager &
Client support

Name:  Amy Skidmore

Job Description: Office Manager, Client support.

Kitchen Must have: Fusion Square boiling water tap – most definitely. The Quooker Fusion is a boiling-water tap and mixer tap in one. It’s beautiful, modern, sleek and so functional. No waiting for the kettle to boil. I think I would choose the Matt Black or Gold version.

Hobbies: Some may say boring but I love being at home with my little family: staying in is the new going out – as they would say. Log Burner lit & a glass of fizz is to me just perfection!

My little boy is my world and I love spending time with him, going on adventures and teaching him about life. Where possible we love to be outdoors, walking, biking, exploring the lovely lake district and natural beauties on our doorstep – Silverdale is a firm family favourite.

My interests are most definitely interior design, beautiful home décor, photography, and music! Life is definitely better with music.
